VSPM Madhuribai Deshmukh institute of Nursing Education is a unit of VSPM AHE, affiliated to Maharashtra University of health sciences Nashik and recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Maharashtra State Nursing Council (MNC). The institution started the School of Nursing which offers a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery in 1995 and College of Nursing in which offers the degree of Bachelor of Nursing in 2005. It is attached to NABH accredited 1180 bedded parent hospital. VSPM MDINE is accredited with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘B++ grade. VSPM MDINE also awarded Best Nursing college in (Vidarbha) Maharashtra by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Nashik in the year 2023. VSPM MDINE has 39th rank in Indian institutional raking framework 7 th from Maharashtra west zone.

Affiliated Bodies – DMER, MNC, MUHS, INC, NAAC, ISO, IIRF
Nursing colleges are usually affiliated with recognized body (MUHS - Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik), state nursing councils (MNC - Maharashtra Nursing Council, Mumbai) , (MSBPNE), and the Indian Nursing Council (INC) to ensure quality education and standardization in nursing practice.
These affiliated bodies regulate the curriculum, examinations, and professional guidelines, making sure students receive proper theoretical knowledge and practical training. Such affiliations also provide credibility to the degree, enabling graduates to pursue higher education and professional careers in nursing both in India and abroad.
The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course is a diploma program that prepares students to become skilled nurses and midwives. The course usually lasts 3 years and includes both theory and practical training. It teaches subjects like nursing care, community health, and midwifery, helping students to serve patients effectively. After completing GNM, students can work in hospitals, clinics, and community health centers or continue higher studies in nursing.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a four-year undergraduate program that trains students to become professional nurses. The course includes subjects like anatomy, physiology, medical-surgical nursing, community health, child health, and mental health nursing. It combines classroom learning with clinical training to develop both knowledge and practical skills. After completing B.Sc. Nursing, graduates can work in hospitals, clinics, community health centers, or pursue higher studies and specializations in nursing.
The Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (P.B.B.Sc. Nursing) is a two-year undergraduate program designed for diploma-holding nurses (GNM) to upgrade their knowledge and skills. The course covers advanced subjects in nursing, research, and management, along with practical training in hospitals and community settings. It helps nurses enhance their professional competence and opens opportunities for higher studies like M.Sc. Nursing, as well as better career prospects in clinical practice, teaching, and healthcare management.
The Master of Science in Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing) is a two-year postgraduate program that provides advanced knowledge and skills in nursing and healthcare. It offers specializations such as medical-surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, psychiatric nursing, obstetrics and gynecology nursing, and community health nursing. The course focuses on research, leadership, and advanced clinical practice, preparing nurses for teaching, administrative, and specialist roles. After completing M.Sc. Nursing, graduates can work as nurse educators, clinical specialists, or healthcare managers, and can also pursue research opportunities.
